Arm’s Length
I was on my erring errand,
Shaken in the shaking wind,
When at length there came a brighter light,
Shining hope into my frightful fight.
There were desperate motives in the beginning,
Yet they turned away into sharing caring,
And what I found is who I am, is really who I long to be.
Someone who loves, and lives passionately.
I was kept within a limited range, always left to make a mess.
But now I have a say in what I do each day, something blessed.
I will be happy and obedient, for my mind is set on the hope above.
I am a fighter for the cause of love, the only thing there is enough of.
Grace helps us keep in line with justice, and the reverse is also true.
Mercy and repentance are eternal gifts of the highest price.
So great and precious are these, worth all things new.
We seek after these, doing all we can to obtain more faith in our lives.
We will fight for our lives until they end.
Then when resurrection’s ordinance begins,
We will be reborn in recompense, into bodily grace indeed,
Unto a way in which our spirit and body combined, will then be our full identity.
So while you are here, do all you can to live in cheer and Godly fear.
For you will find that although you are at arms length from God by sin,
Through His Son, you are literally in His arms, and will be again,
When you return, having been faithful unto the glorious end.
